Meet The Team

Joe is a carpenter by trade with almost 20 years experience in the industry.  He studied Sustainable Building Surveying at university and has worked as a surveyor, project manager, timber framer and general carpenter before settling in Cornwall and starting his own carpentry and contracting business with wife Charlotte.

As well as nearly two decades of site experience in the UK, Joe spent two years learning timber framing from the big guns in the Canadian Rockies. His projects there included high spec new builds and a passivhaus family home.

Joe is a keen surfer and snowboarder when family life allows, and at the weekend can generally can be found running or biking the Cornish lanes in between operating the Dad Taxi Service. 

Charlotte is organiser in chief of, well, organising.  Much handier with a computer than a chop-saw, Charlotte is the first point of contact for any enquiries and deals with all the behind the scenes admin and business management.

She and Joe have been married for 10 years, and have four small noisy people ‘helping’ to run the show. In her spare time (what spare time?!), Charlotte can be found running, gardening and starting overly ambitious DIY projects for Joe to finish.  They both love getting out camping and beaching with the kids in the glorious Cornish countryside. 

Sam has worked with Joe since he relocated to Cornwall in 2020.  He has a background in hospitality where he gained excellent logistical and communications skills, which get put to good use on the daily.  As our Site Foreman, he ensures the smooth running of our sites day to day whilst also continuing to build on his carpentry skills.

Off the building site, Sam is renovating his own house with girlfriend Torie, and is a super keen sportsman, both as a participant and spectator.
