Bespoke Office, Lostwithiel

A bespoke, vaulted open-plan office in Lostwithiel featuring a striking Siberian Larch and industrial metal exterior.

The client approached us with a need to create a large open-plan office for her business. We worked together to create a bespoke, vaulted office space to accommodate six work stations and a kitchenette.

The showstopper of the building is the offset pitched roof and inset porch, which is clad in Siberian Larch to contrast with the dark industrial metal of the windows and external cladding.

As well as giving the inside space a quirky and spacious vaulted ceiling, the pitch of the larger roof elevation was purposefully designed at the optimal angle for the future solar panels, and the building was orientated with this in mind too.

The office is super insulated, and has a high quality aluminium window package to keep it as air-tight and energy efficient as possible.  It is currently connected to mains electricity, but when the solar panels are installed, the owner aims to have it operating in a fully off-grid capacity, right down to the composting staff loo!

The industrial stripped-back aesthetic was carried through to the inside, with exposed timber beams across the ceiling vault, varnished OSB walls, and custom built kitchenette, window reveals and bespoke CNC-cut curved desks in birch ply, which were designed and commissioned by ourselves and the client jointly.
