We designed and built this summerhouse with integrated deck which cantilevers over the edge of a lake.
We chose to construct this summerhouse on ground screws, which allowed us to build right next to the small lake without using any concrete or have to use shuttering or tanking for the foundation. We also incorporated a large overhang supported by an oak beam, for outdoor gatherings in bad weather.
The green cementboard cladding makes the summerhouse settle beautifully into its landscape and is also very low maintenance. The clients also decided on millboard decking for its longevity.
Internally this build is fresh and bright, with white painted matchboard walls and ceilings, and pine floor.
